Job Description

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day accounting functions specializing in accounts payable duties. This includes performing accounts payable functions such as invoicing, manual check application, aging reports, and account reconciliation. The ideal candidate will also assist in the preparation of financial statements and information for tax accountants, as well as various other duties.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Performs accounts payable functions including invoicing, manual check application, aging reports, and account reconciliation
  • Enters routine journal entries and bank transactions
  • Supports department peers as needed

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. They will also have 2 years of accrual basis accounting working experience, including accounts payable, journal entries, month-end closing, and reconciliation. Additionally, they will demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively within all levels of the organization.
