Teaching Students with Special Needs

This role involves teaching students with special needs in a virtual classroom setting. The instructor will be responsible for creating and delivering lesson plans, monitoring student progress, and communicating with parents and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:- Orient students to their course and communicate course requirements;
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and adjust instruction accordingly;
- Collaborate with other instructors and support staff to ensure a cohesive learning experience;
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge and understanding of assigned courses and materials;
- Develop and implement instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students;
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback;
- Stay up-to-date with curriculum changes and educational best practices;
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance instructional skills;
- Maintain open communication with students, parents, and colleagues;
- Adhere to all policies and procedures related to student data privacy and confidentiality.
- A valid Pennsylvania State Teaching Certificate in Special Education;
- Relevant job-related experience preferred;
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong organizational and time management skills;
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or related field;
- Experience working with students with special needs preferred.
