Job Opportunity: Front-End Developer

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Front-End Developer with a strong background in modern JavaScript frameworks, spatial mapping libraries, and web application performance optimization. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of React, including efficient use of hooks, state/store patterns, and performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain complex front-end applications using React (functional components, hooks, state management).
  • Integrate spatial mapping tools such as Mapbox, Google Maps API, or Esri into web applications to enhance user experience and interaction.
  • Optimize application performance across various browsers and devices by utilizing code profiling and build optimization techniques (e.g., WebPack, Lighthouse).
  • Ensure responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility for seamless user experience.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL, enabling efficient data exchange and synchronization.
  • Participate in Agile teams, contributing to sprint planning, daily standups, and code reviews to ensure project success.
  • Utilize Git for version control and CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience developing production-level applications using JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Advanced knowledge of React, including efficient use of hooks, state/store patterns, and performance tuning.
  • Proven ability to integrate and work with geospatial mapping libraries (Mapbox, Google Maps API, Esri, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of responsive web design principles and accessibility best practices.
  • Experience profiling and optimizing web app performance using modern tooling.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and GraphQL integration patterns.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments and using Git-based workflows.
Desirable Skills:
  • Understanding of geospatial data formats such as GeoJSON, shapefiles, and KMZ.
  • Exposure to telecom or utility network planning and infrastructure workflows.
  • Familiarity with design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
  • Experience with server-side rendering (SSR), React Query, or Redux for state management.
