Key Responsibilities:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Fluency in both English and Plautdietsch is essential.
  • A state certification in interpretation is highly valued but not required.
  • Strong verbal communication skills in both languages are necessary.
  • Familiarity with note taking and memory techniques is required.
  • Professional and courteous behavior is expected at all times.
  • Experience with the consecutive interpretation process and a strong ability to provide excellent customer service are crucial.
  • Knowledge of the interpreter Code of Ethics is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical interpreting is preferred.
