The role of the Compliance Officer is to oversee policy writing, review, and implementation within the organization. Key responsibilities include managing the internal documents management site, updating site pages as necessary, publishing newly approved documents, and ensuring proper access restrictions.

The compliance officer is responsible for reviewing policies and manuals prior to endorsement to the Chief Compliance Officer for final approval. This includes tracking the routing of documents to the executive committee level for notification, review, or approval.

Other key responsibilities include ensuring adherence to document approval processes, releasing internal communications related to documentation, and preparing monthly reports on compliance status by business unit.

The compliance officer also provides guidance to business units on localizing and updating group policies in relation to regulatory requirements. Additionally, they review and provide recommendations on policy drafting related to new processes identified by compliance testing and internal audit.

Key skills required for this role include knowledge of regulations issued by regulatory bodies, experience in policy writing and review, and a minimum of five years of work experience in compliance.

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to establish good working relationships with senior management, executive committees, and business unit heads.
