We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Eye Care Scribe to support our ophthalmologists and optometrists during patient consultations.
- This role involves documenting encounters in real-time, helping streamline clinical workflow and ensure accurate medical records.
- Transcribe interactions with healthcare providers during virtual or in-person patient consultations
- Input notes into electronic health record (EHR) systems using Windows-based software while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Organize and manage large volumes of medical files securely on a personal PC
- Flag and clarify inconsistencies in visual exam documentation and diagnostic data
- Maintain templates for eye exams, surgical consultations, and follow-ups
- Assist healthcare providers by streamlining administrative and documentation duties
- Owning a Windows-operated PC (Windows 10 or above) with high-capacity storage for handling large datasets and medical records
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, OneNote) for documentation and file tracking
- Ability to navigate EHR platforms (e.g., Compulink, RevolutionEHR, or similar eye-care systems)
- Familiarity with ophthalmologic terminology (e.g., refraction, tonometry, fundus exam, etc.)
- Excellent typing speed and attention to clinical detail
- Prior experience in a scribe or medical transcription role is highly valued
- Ability to work discreetly and maintain patient confidentiality
- Strong organizational and communication skills
