Job Overview

As a 3D Image Conversion Specialist, you will be responsible for transforming high-resolution 2D portrait images into 3D bas-relief point cloud models. This requires a strong grasp of image processing, 3D modeling, and precision formatting for laser engraving systems.

This role involves converting 2D images (JPEG/PNG) into 3D point cloud models with raised facial features (bas-relief effect), enhancing image clarity and contrast to optimize depth and detail in final output, ensuring compatibility of point cloud files with engraving machine formats (e.g., OBJ), scaling and aligning models to match crystal dimensions (e.g., 5cm cube), and performing quality checks and delivering engraving-ready files for production.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., Blender, MeshLab, or equivalent)
  • Experience with point cloud generation and manipulation
  • Familiarity with subsurface laser engraving or similar precision manufacturing processes
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet formatting specifications
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple image conversions efficiently
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of bas-relief modeling techniques
  • Experience in image enhancement and depth mapping
