About the Role

The Financial Analyst is responsible for ensuring accuracy and timeliness in journal entries, month-end allocations, and general ledger reconciliations. This enables other divisions to make effective business decisions. He/she is also capable of analysing trends/variances and providing actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process journal entries accurately and on time for monthly reporting.
  • Ensure all month-end allocations are processed before month-end close.
  • Finalize year-end accounts by verifying amounts and documentation supplied by divisions.
  • Coordinate and ensure accurate general ledger reconciliations.
  • Clear reconciling items on a timely basis.
  • Process monthly billing statements/invoices to customers and ensure intercompany reconciliations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in finance or accounting.
  • 2-4 years working experience in finance and accounting, with a strong understanding of accounting processes and principles.
