Master Coiler and Welder Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Master Coiler and Welder Specialist to join our team at North Taal Steel Corp. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our coiling and welding processes.

This is a critical position that requires attention to detail and strong technical skills. As a Master Coiler and Welder Specialist, you will be working closely with our production team to ensure that all materials are properly prepared for the coiling and welding process.

• Check all materials needed before the operation starts to prevent delays and ensure accurate production output.
• Verify coil width and thickness before each operation to guarantee correct placement of items according to production order.
• Monitor and maintain all machinery and equipment, including brake pods, hose air leak detection, expanders, and FRL, to prevent malfunctions and downtime.
• Ensure that skelp expander barriers are securely locked and in place to prevent accidents.
• Replace welding rods only when necessary, adhering to size guidelines (2-4 inches) to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Avoid placing thin materials in the coil cage to prevent damage and ensure proper processing.
• Perform weld joints between coils during production and verify their durability to maintain product integrity.
• Record and report any material changes or discrepancies, particularly those related to weight, to facilitate inventory management and tracking.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace throughout the day, both before and after use, to promote safety and productivity.

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent technical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment. You should also possess good communication skills and be able to collaborate with colleagues and management to achieve shared goals.
