This position involves facilitating hands-on science learning during a mobile science experience, working with a dynamic team to bring space, Earth, and modern STEM topics directly to schools across the nation.
The role requires traveling to different locations to facilitate events, ensuring communities have access to quality STEM education programs. Key responsibilities include:
- Facilitating face-to-face science discussions during events.
- Operating interactive STEM-based equipment, tools, and digital programs.
- Collaborating with educators to create interdisciplinary learning activities.
- Contributing to educational content planning, including visual aids and multimedia support.
- Attending training sessions to enhance teaching and communication skills.
- Staying updated on STEM trends and topics to ensure content quality and relevance.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Graduate of any STEM-related course (e.g., Astronomy, General Science, Education, Engineering, Physics, Biology, Chemistry).
- Licensed Professional Teachers (LPTs) are highly encouraged to apply.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (multilingual is a plus).
- Creative thinker and problem-solver.
- Tech-savvy and quick to adapt to new technologies and STEM tools.
- Knowledge of design platforms like Canva is an advantage.
- Physically and mentally fit to travel and work in mobile learning environments.
- Passionate about STEM education and outreach.
