Senior Cybersecurity Analyst

This is a dynamic role that requires an individual who can proactively monitor and respond to security events. The Senior Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for detecting and mitigating potential threats to the network, endpoint, or email systems.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of networking, operating systems, and enterprise integrations. They will also have a firm understanding of the security incident lifecycle, including detection, analysis, containment, eradication, recovery, and incident post-mortem reviews.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor SIEM, EDR, and other security tools for detection and identification of security events
  • Investigate, contain, and resolve security anomalies and events
  • Perform threat attribution and identify likely threat vectors for security events and incidents
  • Develop new use cases for security alerts and tune existing use cases to improve accuracy
  • Perform proactive threat hunting, vulnerability, and threat intelligence research
Requirements:
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Experience working with multiple SIEM, EDR, Log Aggregators, and Incident Response Management solutions
  • Firm understanding of the security incident lifecycle
  • Strong technical knowledge of Networking, Operating Systems, and enterprise integrations
  • Thorough understanding of TCP/IP and IDS/IPS rules
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
  • Understanding of Advanced Persistent Threats and experience with Python, PowerShell, and API programming
