Company Overview

The CFO Division of Deutsche Bank has presence in Frankfurt, London, New York, and Asia and is responsible for ensuring the sound risk management and financial governance of Deutsche Bank. The division comprises Risk, Investor Relations, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Integrated Reporting, Regional CFO teams, Tax, Capital & Liquidity Management, Finance Director teams for the Investment Platform, Coverage, and Infrastructure functions, and the COO team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Quality Management – Define, implement, and maintain data quality metrics, and measure data quality.
  • Data Issue Management – Capture, analyse, track, and close structural issues associated with data and MDS outputs.
  • Data Access Management – Capture, approve, and perform regular attestation on access to division-owned data.
  • Data Lineage Management – Capture, maintain, and perform regular attestation on data lineage for division-owned MDS items.
  • Data Product Inventory Management – Capture, maintain, and perform regular attestation on divisional products.
  • Data Model Management – Develop and maintain the logical data models for division-owned domain and data classes.
  • Data Integration and Mapping – Define data integration and mapping standards for division-owned domains and data classes.
  • Data Strategy Implementation – Manage data strategy implementation at a divisional level and execute change management.
  • Establish relationships and work collaboratively across other Deutsche Bank functions to ensure alignment on data management strategies with organisational goals.
  • Support and align with Deutsche Bank Head of CFO Strategy to ensure organisational objectives on enterprise data management are met.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Data Management experience in developing and implementing plans, policies, and practices that control, protect, and optimise the value of data assets.
  • Experience in defining and operating a management framework of processes and working practices to deliver the organisation’s quality objective (Data Quality Management).
  • Experience in planning, implementing, and controlling the full life cycle of data.
  • Experience in Data Architecture and Modelling is a plus.
  • Experience in Data Integration, Data Mapping, and Data Lineage management.
  • Experience in Data Product Development and maintenance.
  • Experience in EDM Platforms e.g. Collibra is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience in explaining complex processes and issues clearly and concisely to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Structured, organised, and results-oriented approach, demonstrating a high level of diligence and attention to detail.
  • Detailed knowledge of accounting and other finance processes is a plus.
