Job Title: Senior MongoDB DBA

We are seeking an experienced MongoDB professional to provide day-to-day support for MongoDB across Asia.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in MongoDB installation, configuration and administration, with technical skills in monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of MongoDB databases.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily support including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, backup and recovery of MongoDB databases.
  • Install, configure and maintain MongoDB clusters on-premise and Atlas.
  • Evaluate, plan and perform MongoDB major/minor upgrades.
  • Scale MongoDB across data centers and/or have an in-depth understanding of MongoDB, including replica sets and schema using Mongos.
  • Perform backup & recovery, database optimization, hardening and security maintenance.
  • Backup and restore databases and collections as needed between environments using MongoDB utilities.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in MongoDB and Database Administration.
  • Experience in production support with hands-on experience on standalone, replication, sharding, clustering.
  • Experience in upgrading database versions, migrating data across multiple databases/Mongo Atlas and performing CRUD operations.
  • Strong experience in query tuning, performance optimization and data realignments.
  • Knowledge of managing a MongoDB cluster using MongoDB Ops Manager.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement proactive measures; monitor effectiveness of implemented measures.
  • Willing to work on rotational 24x7 on-call support, planned/adhoc weekend support/changes and flexible to meet business needs.
  • Good communication, problem solving, multi-tasking and self-initiative.
