Job Description

  • This role assumes responsibility for leading delivery leads, encompassing performance evaluations, recruitment oversight, enforcement of disciplinary measures, management of terminations, and supervision of other staffing concerns.
  • The individual accountable for delivering exceptional results through effective management of delivery leads, responsible for overseeing the performance and results of the overall solutions delivery score.
  • This position involves addressing vital issues that surpass one's immediate domain by harnessing a profound understanding of interconnected disciplines.
  • The successful candidate will identify applications of functional knowledge and existing methodologies to complex problems. Proposed solutions to problems may deviate from traditional approaches and instead introduce entirely new methods or processes.
  • The decision-making process entails proposing adjustments to policies, processes, procedures, or operations as necessary to pursue courses of action, thereby ensuring the bank's commitment to both internal and external customers.
  • As a level 1 escalation, this individual will act as a liaison between teams and stakeholders.
  • Closely collaborating with demand and portfolio managers, the ideal candidate will efficiently allocate resources and effectively monitor project progress.
  • Facilitating the collaborative process to develop plans and establish priorities, led by the leadership/steering committee and demand management.
  • Reviewing and actively monitoring the project timeline to guarantee stakeholder alignment at the outset, during implementation, and at project closure.
  • Reviewing status reports prepared by the delivery leads, and modifying schedules or plans as required.
  • Analyzing the budget utilization of each project and ensuring that the project stays within budget.
  • Performing project risk assessment and implementing mitigation plans.
  • Leveraging best practices and techniques in identifying, quantifying, and tracking the realization of expected benefits defined in business cases.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with senior leadership and key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Regularly reviewing and evaluating opportunities to improve the project management best practices in order to achieve higher maturity in project delivery.
  • Ensuring that project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in technical architecture, software engineering, or solutions architecture, with a proven track record of leading complex, enterprise-level projects.
  • Extensive experience in architecting large-scale, mission-critical systems and solutions, both in a cloud-native & hybrid environment.
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing or mentoring teams of architects and senior technical staff.
  • Strong background in designing, implementing, and integrating enterprise applications, including cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), microservices, APIs, and large-scale databases.
  • Experience with full lifecycle system development, from concept to implementation and support, in an agile & waterfall environment.
