The role of the Indirect Sourcing Specialist involves managing and optimizing the procurement of goods and services that are not directly related to the company's main products.
This includes overseeing spending across various categories such as IT services, office supplies, travel services, exploration support, HR benefits, fleet asset management, MMUs, MRO, PPE, and professional services.
Key Responsibilities:- Category Management: Oversee procurement activities across multiple indirect spend categories.
- Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the best value, quality, and service.
- Cost Optimization: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and service levels.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Data Analysis: Analyze spend data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure procurement strategies align with business objectives.
- Process Improvement: Continuously improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a focus on indirect sourcing.
- Skills: Strong negotiation and contract management skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, proficiency in procurement software and tools, including SAP and Ariba, strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Preferred Qualifications: Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CIPS), experience in the mining or industrial sector.
