Experienced Accountant Role

We are seeking an experienced accountant to join our client services team, concentrating mainly on compliance work for sole traders, partnerships, and small limited companies.

The role involves maintaining exceptional client care standards, ensuring regular meetings with UK offices, and preparing draft accounts for review from source documents, including incomplete records or balanced computerised trial balances.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain high-quality client relationships.
  • Ensure timely communication with UK offices.

Key Tasks:

  • Prepare financial statements for review, using relevant accounting principles and software.
  • Undertake larger accountancy tasks, requiring professional judgment and expertise.
  • Clear routine queries with clients, providing clear explanations and resolutions.
  • Prepare tax computations based on financial statements.
  • Finalise figures for managers and prepare paperwork for client approval.
  • Deal with ad hoc client queries, demonstrating a commitment to exceptional client service.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT Returns using bridging software.
  • Provide general support to clients and directors, fostering strong working relationships.
  • Assist trainees with queries and development, promoting knowledge sharing and growth.
  • Monitor and control time spent on jobs, ensuring efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

  • You will have worked within an accountancy firm during training and possess a passion for delivering exceptional client results.
