Job Summary:

The Construction Design Specialist ensures the accuracy and completeness of submittals and collaborates on design issues or conflicts and revisions with other sections in the Engineering Department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Preparation of Schematic Design Model 3D: Based on BID Plans, prepare a detailed 3D model of the construction project.
  2. Sequence of Works Preparation: Develop a sequence of works based on the schematic design model.
  3. Walkthrough Presentation Preparation: Create a walkthrough presentation based on the schematic design model to facilitate communication among stakeholders.
  4. Quantity Take Off Preparation: Prepare quantity take-offs for typical floors, podiums, and basements based on the schematic design model.
  5. For Construction Model Preparation: Prepare a for-construction model based on issued FCDs.
  6. Detailed Design Model Preparation: Develop a detailed design model based on VE and precast requirements.
  7. Combined Services Model Preparation: Combine services models based on the detailed design model.
  8. Review Discrepancy of Combined Service Model – 3D: Review discrepancies in the combined services model.
  9. Presentation of Coordination Data Report: Present coordination data reports to stakeholders.
  10. Clash-Free Model Preparation: Prepare clash-free models based on resolved coordination data reports.
  11. Submittal Drawings 2D Preparation: Prepare submittal drawings based on final design development models.
  12. Walkthrough Presentation Preparation: Develop walkthrough presentations based on final design development models.
  13. Construction Sequence Preparation: Prepare construction sequences based on final design development models.
