  • Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain automated test scripts to validate functionality across different systems, focusing on user stories, features, and basic system behaviors.
  • Work with the test team to convert manual test cases into automated scripts using existing test automation frameworks and tools.
  • Execute automated test scripts to ensure the functionality of the application and report results to the testing team, including identification of issues, failures, or inconsistencies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within automation scripts, ensuring they run correctly and produce reliable results.
  • Continuously update and maintain automation scripts as the application evolves, ensuring automated tests stay in sync with the latest changes and requirements.
  • Support the integration of automated tests into the development pipeline by running automated tests during the build process and ensuring their consistency in test environments.
  • Document and report on test execution results, providing insight into issues detected through automated testing. Log defects when automation detects failures and follow through with the testing team.
  • Stay informed on the latest automation tools and technologies. Participate in training sessions and practice automation techniques to improve script efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist in configuring and ensuring the proper setup of test environments for running automation scripts, ensuring they are stable and consistent for each test cycle.
  • Collaborate with test analysts and developers to design test cases that can be effectively automated, ensuring that automated scripts cover key functionalities and edge cases.
  • Create and run automated tests that validate applications across different platforms (e.g., web, mobile) and browsers, ensuring consistent behavior.
  • Continuously improve and optimize automation scripts for better performance and efficiency, reducing test execution time while maintaining high reliability.
  • Work closely with the QA team to align automation efforts with overall testing objectives, helping to ensure automation efforts contribute to the overall testing strategy.
  • Utilize version control tools (e.g., Git) to manage automation scripts, ensuring proper versioning and collaboration on scripts within the team.
  • Assist in creating and managing the data required for automated tests, ensuring accurate and consistent test data for script execution.
  • Document the test automation process, guidelines, and best practices for the team to follow, ensuring consistency in automated test development and execution.
  • Participate in regression testing by ensuring that automated scripts are reusable and reliable, running them frequently to check for issues in existing functionality as new features are added.
  • Regularly check the results of automated tests, analyze logs, and identify any anomalies, ensuring that automated test failures are properly investigated and resolved.
