Senior Solutions Specialist

About the Role:

The Senior Solutions Specialist is a key member of our Implementation project teams, responsible for delivering Dayforce configuration that meets best practices. They will provide limited customer support to clients awaiting implementation of their Dayforce product and deliver long-term solutions to fix configuration gaps identified by Dayforce customers post go-live.

Responsibilities:

  • Confirm, gather, understand, and document customer requirements
  • Consult with customers on various options to address business requirements using best practices, considering downstream effects of configuration choices, applying deep understanding of data flow in Dayforce and 3rd-party applications, and optimizing solutions
  • Write SQL code to identify, troubleshoot, and fix data and configuration issues in the customer's Dayforce instance
  • Understand, troubleshoot, and modify XML and XSLT code
  • Project Management: create and follow a project plan, measure progress, make adjustments, and follow the plan through to completion, provide customers with significant and timely updates, prioritize and manage multiple projects for a customer, maintain strong relationships, collaborate with customers, Ceridian contacts, and 3rd-party vendors to conduct thorough testing
  • Use negotiation and conflict resolution skills to drive projects to successful resolution, recommend continued product enhancements, provide mentorship and high-quality training materials, provide solution oversight for projects, create, document, and optimize team processes
  • Understand and adhere to internal business processes to champion customer success, demonstrate product expertise/knowledge of the Dayforce application and how various modules interact with and affect each other, collaborate with Product Management, Development, Implementation, and Support teams to identify gaps, implement processes, and tooling initiatives to improve implementation quality

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant software/computer-related fields
  • 4+ years of support experience or equivalent
  • Superior communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong proficiency with SQL and an understanding of relational database systems
  • Expert understanding of programming, HTML, and Microsoft Server Technology
  • Technical knowledge of XML and XSLT
  • Solid exposure to hosting and change management protocols

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in support, consulting, and/or project management experience specifically in the HCM space
  • Certification in the HCM space such as CPA Payroll Compliance Legislation and Payroll Fundamentals
  • French language skills
