The Opportunity

This role is part of the Buildings Team, working closely with structural engineers to accomplish assigned projects and deliver accurate drawings, calculations, and analysis.

You'll transition from academic learning to real-world applications, working on diverse projects that challenge your problem-solving skills and creativity. This role provides a structured environment where you can develop technical skills, gain hands-on experience, and receive mentorship from experienced engineers.

The position is based in Manila.

Your Responsibilities

  • Prepare design calculations based on specific project requirements assigned by team leaders.
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of your output by checking against required standards and agreed timelines.
  • Coordinate work with other disciplines.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned from time to time.

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; licensed or Registered Engineer preferred.
  • Preferred: 1-2 years of experience, but fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Programming skills and experience are essential. Proficiency in programming software such as Visual Basic, C+, C#, MathLab, etc., is required.
  • Able to provide and develop design calculations, detailed drawings, and specifications.
  • Demonstrate strong design ability and engineering solutions on major and/or complex projects.
  • Engineering design skills and knowledge in building services systems; civil structural engineering.
  • Able to adapt both local and international standards (i.e., US standards, BS, JIS, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) for team-based working and preparing project correspondence and reports.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge and practical experience of general analysis, design software is an advantage.
  • Motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges.
  • Able to maintain and develop successful client relationships and be a team player and keen learner.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and be a team player, open to coordinating with engineers of other trades/inter-disciplinary coordination.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines is essential.
  • Able to understand the balance of engineering priorities on differing projects.
