Job Opportunity

As a Senior Java Software Developer, you will drive innovation in cybersecurity, software development, and big data technology as part of an award-winning IT team. You can play a critical role as part of a global agile team.

We are looking for a skilled professional to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable backend services. The ideal candidate will have experience in software development, particularly with backend tech stacks, and a strong understanding of Agile Development, DevOps, and Test-Driven Design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, including unit testing, code deployment, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with different cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact features and improvements within an agile development environment.
    • Build and optimize APIs to enable seamless communication between frontend and backend systems.
    • Find opportunities to improve system performance, team productivity, and reduce risk.
    Required Skills and Qualifications:

Core Competencies (Must-have Competencies)

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in software development, particularly with backend tech stacks.
    • At least 3-5 years of experience with at least one of the following: Java or Go.
    • At least 3+ years of significant experience in Agile Development, DevOps, and Test-Driven Design.
    • At least 2 years of strong experience with unit testing, Test-Driven Development, code review, continuous integration, continuous delivery & DevOps practices.
    • At least 1 year of experience working with cloud platforms, AWS.

Complementary Competencies (Good-to-have Competencies)

  • Solid knowledge of RESTful services, and different architectures.
    • Familiarity with version control and defect tracking tools like GIT, JIRA.
    • Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Experience with container environments, Docker.
    • Experience working with cloud platforms, AWS.
    • Familiarity with database management SQL/NoSQL, and experience integrating databases with backend systems.
    • A proactive mindset with a desire to continuously learn and improve.
