Accountant Role

Ensuring Financial Integrity and Timeliness is a critical component of business success. As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will play a vital role in guaranteeing the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data essential to supporting business operations and strategic growth.

This position requires leveraging construction and real estate industry experience, strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and keen analytical skills to perform essential accounting functions including project estimating and costing, contribute to financial reporting, and support process improvements.

  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP principles
  • Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, adjusting entries, and accruals accurately and efficiently
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes are completed successfully
  • Perform detailed account reconciliations for Balance Sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Track project/job costs and ensure costs are recorded to appropriate jobs or cost codes
  • Assist in reviewing and processing vendor invoices, inquiries, and statements of account
  • Maintain and review monthly management credit card reports and employee reimbursements
  • Analyze financial performance, variances, and trends to support informed decision making
  • Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / Accounting software for transaction processing, reporting, and analysis
  • Identify opportunities for process automation or improvement in accounting workflows
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls and company accounting policies
  • Support external review and audit requests, including documentation and schedules

This role requires a high degree of attention to detail, proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel, adaptability, time management, and organizational strengths to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and scalability in accounting operations.
