Marketplace Integration Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketplace Integration Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integrations with marketplaces.

As a Marketplace Integration Engineer, you will work on building scalable solutions for order management, catalog synchronization, shipping, and fulfillment. You will provide input in architectural and technical decisions as part of an agile team.

You will develop Shopify apps and services using Rust and ensure high-quality code through automated testing, observability, and best engineering practices. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers and share knowledge of marketplace APIs.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop integrations with marketplaces
  • Build scalable solutions for order management, catalog synchronization, shipping, and fulfillment
  • Provide input in architectural and technical decisions
  • Develop Shopify apps and services using Rust
  • Ensure high-quality code through automated testing and best engineering practices
  • Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge of marketplace APIs
Requirements:
  • Strong experience integrating with marketplace APIs
  • Proficiency in Rust (for Shopify app development)
  • At least 5+ years of software engineering experience in a modern OO or functional language
  • Excellent knowledge of automated testing (theory and practice)
  • Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Solid database knowledge (e.g., PostgreSQL)
Optional Skills:
  • Domain-Driven Design (DDD) knowledge and experience
  • Event sourcing and/or Command Query Responsibility Segregation (CQRS)
  • Experience with EventStoreDB
  • Experience debugging a system in production or good knowledge of observability and tracing/logging practices
  • Experience with F# or another server-side programming language
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or a math-related field; or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • At least 8 years of software development experience

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: ₱150,000 - ₱200,000 a month
  • Flexible working hours: 8:30am to 5pm Mon-Fri (GMT)
  • 15 days holiday per year
  • Contractor status with responsibility for own tax
  • Min 20 MB broadband line and own PC/Laptop and headset required
