AU Senior Tax & Advisory Accountant | Direct Hire & Fully Remote Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior tax and advisory accountant to join our team. This role will involve managing a portfolio of clients, overseeing their financial affairs, ensuring tax compliance, and maintaining high-quality, timely deliverables.

As a senior tax and advisory accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and completing year-end financial statements and tax returns for individuals, businesses, and entities in accordance with Australian tax laws. You will also manage BAS and IAS lodgments, payroll tax, FBT, Division 7A compliance, and liaise with the ATO to address any issues.

Key qualifications include a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, extensive experience in Australian tax within an accounting firm, specializing in SMEs, and a comprehensive understanding of Australian tax regulations and guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, be able to assist with process and system improvements, and possess strong communication skills to clearly explain tax and financial concepts to clients.

  • Manage client portfolios and ensure tax compliance
  • Prepare year-end financial statements and tax returns

  • Assist with process and system improvements
