Overview:

The Agricultural Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the health, well-being, and productivity of both livestock and crops. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively.

Duties and Responsibilities:Livestock Management:
  • Monitor animal health and inspect for signs of disease or injury
  • Breed cattle to produce offspring with desirable traits
  • Determine optimal times for sale or slaughter based on market prices or other factors
  • Maintain accurate records of feed intake, food costs, and weight gain or loss
Crop Production:
  • Oversee plant production and care, including propagation, irrigation, and pest management
  • Manage crop scheduling to ensure timely planting and harvesting
  • Control plant growth through fertilizer application and injector maintenance
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture or related field
  • Passion for agriculture with knowledge in horticulture, pest control, landscaping, safety procedures, and greenhouse operations
  • Expertise in vegetable and herb crops, fruit-bearing trees, ornamental plants, and animals
