Job Overview

This role entails reviewing project plans, conducting quantity takeoffs, and creating detailed estimates for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize project information, identify missing or conflicting scope details, and ensure data accuracy.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs for commercial construction projects using specialized software such as On Screen Takeoff or Bluebeam.
  • Assist with the review of construction documents, plans, and specifications, including redlining and requests for clarification.
  • Evaluate the components of the scope of work, including materials, labor, and equipment required to complete the project.
  • Maintain effective communication with the project management team and build professional relationships.
Qualifications
  • A degree in construction, engineering, business management, finance, or accounting is preferred, although relevant experience and aptitude may be considered alternative qualifications.
  • Knowledge of commercial construction processes, components, and methods of construction is essential.
  • Commercial construction experience across multiple trades is highly valued.
  • Experience working with clients based in the United States is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, electronic takeoff software, and data analysis tools is required.
