We are seeking an experienced Database Engineer to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a modern AWS-native stack and contribute to the development of a fast-growing SaaS platform.

About The Role
  • As a Database Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable database solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
  • You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, develop technical solutions, and collaborate on implementation.
  • Our ideal candidate has a strong background in PostgreSQL and MariaDB, experience with Java-based ORMs, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable database solutions using PostgreSQL and MariaDB.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements and develop technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to scope and fulfill data-related needs.
  • Participate in production troubleshooting and scheduled after-hours support rotations when needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in database management and design.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and MariaDB in AWS RDS environments.
  • Expertise in writing complex SQL queries and analyzing performance.
  • Familiarity with Java-based ORMs and their impact on schema design.
  • Experience supporting multi-tenant environments, ideally using schema-per-customer models.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and support AWS Aurora (PostgreSQL or MySQL-compatible) migrations.
  • A self-driven, detail-oriented mindset with a passion for scalable data solutions.
  • Experience with scripting and automation (Bash, Python).
