Horticultural Specialist

The Horticultural Specialist is responsible for the general maintenance and care of gardens, lawns, and landscaped areas. This includes planting, watering, pruning, weeding, and other tasks necessary to maintain healthy and visually appealing outdoor spaces.

• Plant Care and Maintenance:
  • Plant a variety of flowers, shrubs, trees, and other vegetation to create visually appealing displays.
  • Water and nurture plants regularly to ensure optimal growth and health.
  • Prune trees, hedges, and shrubs to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.
  • Mulch, aerate, and fertilize soil to improve growing conditions.
  • Monitor plants for pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies and take corrective action as needed.
• Landscape Management:
  • Maintain lawns by mowing, edging, and trimming to create a neat and tidy appearance.
  • Weed garden beds and landscaped areas to prevent overgrowth and invasive species.
  • Install new plants, garden features, or hardscaping elements as required by the landscaping plan.
  • Perform routine maintenance on pathways, borders, and garden furniture to ensure they remain in good condition.

Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
