Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in US sales tax compliance, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities.

About the Role
  • We need someone with 3–5 years of accounting experience, including U.S. state and local sales tax work.
Responsibilities
  1. Prepare, reconcile, and file sales and use tax returns across multiple states and local jurisdictions, ensuring timely compliance.
  2. Proactively manage sales tax registrations, nexus tracking, and renewals.
  3. Maintain and validate tax exemption certificates, supporting customer service teams with taxability questions.
  4. Collaborate with tax engine vendors to configure tax codes and ensure system accuracy.
  5. Monitor state notices, audits, or discrepancy letters, coordinating with external advisors as needed.
  6. Research changes in US and local sales tax laws, providing internal updates and risk guidance.
  7. Validate and process customer refunds.
  8. Maintain weekly reconciliations for revenue accounting.
  9. Assist in month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and audit schedules.
  10. Contribute to internal controls improvement, documentation of processes, and cross-training initiatives.
  11. Participate in ad hoc projects, such as system upgrades or process optimization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
