Job Title: Financial Operations Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to oversee and manage the entire billing and accounts receivable process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience in managing financial operations in a remote setting.

This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and can work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the entire billing and accounts receivable process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  2. Prepare and review invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
  3. Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and manage the collection process to ensure timely receipt of payments.
  4. Reconcile customer accounts, resolve discrepancies, and address any billing issues promptly.
  5. Develop and implement effective strategies for improving the billing and collection process.
  6. Coordinate with internal departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure accurate and timely billing.
  7. Prepare and analyze financial reports related to billing and accounts receivable, providing insights and recommendations.
  8. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.
  9. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including financial reporting and audits.
  10. Mentor and provide guidance to junior billing and accounts receivable staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  11. Support the finance team with special projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in billing and accounts receivable, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
