Estimator Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Estimator to play a crucial role in the success of our projects. The Estimator will accurately estimate costs and resources required for various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Management & Entry
    • Accurately enter project data into our CRM system.
    • Maintain accurate records of all estimates, bids, and project costs.
    • Manage and organize project documents, including plans, specifications, and proposals.
  • Takeoffs
    • Perform accurate and detailed takeoffs from blueprints and specifications, including:
    • Material quantities (e.g., concrete, lumber, steel).
    • Labor hours.
    • Equipment needs.
    • Utilize industry-standard software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanGrid) for takeoff and quantity calculations.
  • Estimate Preparation
    • Develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for various projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial.
    • Analyze project scope, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
    • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost estimates.
  • CRM Tool Utilization
    • Effectively utilize CRM software to track leads, manage customer relationships, and monitor project progress.
    • Generate reports and analyze data to identify trends and improve estimating accuracy.
