About the Opportunity

As a seasoned bookkeeping professional, you will spearhead onboarding and cleanup initiatives, mentor junior team members, and oversee standard operating procedure (SOP) maintenance—ensuring financial operations remain robust and reliable.

You will supervise key processes including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), ensure compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal standards, train and coach junior colleagues, and effectively manage multiple clients to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Review and ensure quality of junior colleague outputs.
  • Spearhead AP and AR processes: invoice preparation, approval workflows, reconciliation.
  • Manage onboarding and cleanup workflows for new client accounts.
  • Maintain and enhance SOPs, checklists, and process documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal standards.
  • Train and coach junior colleagues, serving as escalation contact.
  • Effectively manage multiple clients and meet all deadlines for month-end close.
  • Execute onboarding plans collaboratively with the pod lead.
Competencies and Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Deep understanding of US GAAP, full-cycle bookkeeping, and financial cleanup.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and process adherence.
  • Strong leadership capability and mentoring experience.
  • Track record of creating or refining SOPs and efficient workflows.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and written communication skills.
