Network Engineer Position

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing wired and wireless network solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and executing wired and wireless network solutions
  • Assessing and improving current network infrastructure individually and as a team
  • Collaborating with the Project Management Office to develop project schedules and manage variations
  • Configuring, testing, and executing network cutover to ensure delivered solutions are scalable, secure, redundant, and dependable
  • Addressing project-related incidents according to ticket SLA and following Incident and Change Management protocols
  • Identifying obstacles and offering alternate approaches to engineers
  • Managing project plans, prioritizing tasks, handling workload to meet established standards and deadlines, and preparing progress reports as needed
  • Facilitating smooth project handover to operational teams and providing high-level training if required

Requirements:

  • Previous role with an IT&T System Integrator, Professional Consulting Services, Internet Services Provider, or similar organization
  • At least 5+ years in a network engineering role
  • Current certifications in Fortinet Firewall/SD-WAN (FCSS), FCP (Switching and Wireless), and/or Aruba Switching/Wireless Stack (ACSA, ACMP) or equivalent certification
  • At least 2 other vendor network-related industry certifications
  • Strong knowledge and industry experience across a range of networking technologies including vendors such as Fortinet, Cisco/Meraki, HP-Aruba, and Palo Alto
  • Industry experience working within the ITIL framework (ITIL certifications highly regarded)

  • Service Provider Routing experience
  • Security Appliances (IPS/IDS, NAC, Web Proxy)
  • Orchestration Tools (Aruba Central, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiPortal, FortiCloud, and EMS)
  • Log Management (Syslog, SIEM)
  • Network Load Balancing
  • Azure and AWS Networking (IAAS)
  • ITIL Certification
