Job Description

A Fund Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the overall NAV calculation process within the provided guidelines and procedures. They will work under the supervision and guidance of a Fund Accounting Director and Managing Director, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of NAV calculations.

Key Accountabilities:
  1. Manage client relationships, ensuring consistency of service through interaction with clients and relevant Fund Accounting Directors.
  2. Ensure the assigned fund accounting team operates within clearly defined control environments.
  3. Develop and manage client teams of up to 10 employees.
  4. Resolve fund accounting enquiries escalated by Supervisors or Administrators.
  5. Timely resolve aged items on cash and position reconciliations.
  6. Review daily and monthly NAV calculations.
  7. Develop and improve NAV calculation workflows and procedures.
  8. Review fee calculations and profit and loss allocations.
  9. Review applicable monthly, yearly, and inception-to-date performance.
  10. Manage the audit process, ensuring timely completion of fund audits, including preparation of fund financial statements.
  11. Investigate accounting implications of new products.
  12. Manage client initialization and transition.
  13. Participate in fund accounting training development and presentation.
  14. Manage recruitment, training, and performance evaluations for fund accounting staff.
  15. Resolve complex problems and take on special projects as assigned.
  16. Establish effective working relationships with Investor Services, Quality Assurance, Client Servicing, and Compliance departments.
