As a Data Visualization Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and developing interactive dashboards that provide actionable insights to business stakeholders. Your work will involve leveraging Looker's powerful data visualization tools to create user-friendly interfaces that facilitate data exploration and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create custom visualizations that effectively communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design intuitive dashboards that meet business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain LookML models, explores, and dashboards to support business intelligence needs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Looker, including LookML development, dashboard creation, and data visualization.
  • Proficiency in LookML for building and maintaining models, explores, and dashboards.
  • Strong understanding of data visualization principles and experience in creating user-friendly, interactive dashboards.
  • Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL.
  • Solid understanding of BI data architecture, data warehousing concepts, and data modeling (e.g., star schemas, snowflake schemas, and 1-3NF data models).
  • Experience in performance tuning and optimizing Looker assets.
  • Basic knowledge of Google Cloud Platform or other cloud environments is a plus.
  • Exposure to other BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Agile Methodology, SDLC, or other project management methodologies is a plus.
  • Experience in project scoping, planning, and management is a bonus.
  • Willingness to work remotely on a day shift under an initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension.
  • Availability to start immediately is preferred.
