Software Engineering Team Lead/Manager

The main feature development team is responsible for designing, building and maintaining scalable, reliable and maintainable systems to enable business growth. We are looking for a seasoned leader who can manage remotely the engineers in this team and identify improvements to our products and processes.

This role requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills and the ability to promote good engineering practices within the team. You will partner with Product Managers and other leaders across Engineering to craft the roadmap, processes and goals.

Key responsibilities include leading the team to develop scalable systems, promoting good engineering practices, identifying and implementing improvements and working on the team's health and personal development.

You will also coordinate the delivery of features from the roadmap through each stage of the development cycle and lead by example in terms of excellence and attention to detail.

About This Role
  • Ample experience designing and shipping scalable systems that operate at large scale, ideally in Ruby on Rails, React/Vue, AWS stack.
  • Several years of experience being responsible for a team (or teams), their outcomes and personal development.
  • Passionate about learning, continuous improvement and excellence in software engineering as a craft.
  • Thrives when given autonomy and responsibility to drive solutions and bring the team along.
