Financial Record Keeper role at a US based Client

Employment Type: Full-Time

Work Setup: Onsite onboarding for two weeks, followed by a transition to a remote setup.

Work schedule: Night Shift (Following Pacific Time Zone)

The Role

We are looking for a skilled Financial Record Keeper to maintain accurate financial records, process transactions, and support financial reporting. This role will also handle payroll management through various accounting systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create or maintain records of financial transactions, using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online
  • Process invoicing and accounts receivable, paying bills and handling expense management software and accounts payable
  • Manage payroll through a payroll service provider
  • Handle other accounting entries and transactions, reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances
  • Provide support for audits by external entities, preparing supporting schedules, gathering information, and providing analysis as requested
  • Compile reports to show statistics, such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss
  • Report against metrics/budgets
  • Perform payroll and payroll tax-related returns
  • Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepare a balance sheet, profit, and loss statement
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in the related field is preferred
  • 5+ years of full charge bookkeeper/staff accountant experience including account reconciliation and work paper preparation experience
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online is required, Bill.com is a plus
  • Prior experience with manufacturing or construction is preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail, intermediate Excel skills
  • Strong organization, oral and written communication skills, aptitude in data management, analytics, reporting preparation
  • Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed
