About This Role

We are seeking an experienced Computer Science Teacher to deliver high-quality virtual instruction and leverage technology to support student learning in a flexible online environment.

This position requires the ability to develop engaging lesson plans, integrate technology, deliver live lessons, grade assignments, provide feedback, and represent the organization's brand and mission in all interactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Lesson Plans: Create curriculum-aligned and pacing-guided lesson plans that promote student understanding and engagement.
  • Integrate Technology: Effectively utilize various online tools to differentiate lessons, engage students, and deepen understanding.
  • Deliver Live Lessons: Teach synchronously during regular school hours (4-hour minimum) and maintain a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Grade Assignments: Evaluate and grade student work to track progress and ensure student growth.
  • Provide Feedback: Offer constructive feedback to support learning and growth.
  • Represent Brand: Positively represent the organization's brand and mission in all interactions.
Qualifications
  • Non-negotiable Qualifications: An active US state-issued Computer Science teaching certification is required. Proficiency in using virtual teaching tools and resources is also essential.
  • Preferred Qualifications: One or more years of teaching experience is desirable.
