As a skilled Design Lead for Monument Signs, you will be responsible for overseeing the design process of signage structural and technical components, encompassing monument signs, raceways, and other large-scale signage projects.

**Job Overview:**

The Design Lead for Monument Signs will play a pivotal role in designing the structural elements of signage, guaranteeing that all designs adhere to safety standards while achieving exceptional visual quality. This includes creating precise technical drawings, computing load/weight capacities, and ensuring conformity to engineering norms. Furthermore, you will generate engineering documentation to guarantee that all designs are prepared for manufacturing and installation.

**Responsibilities:**

  1. Develop comprehensive design strategies for signage, focusing on structural elements, such as monument signs, pylon signs, and raceways.
  2. Create meticulous technical drawings and photorealistic previews highlighting color precision, lighting, and placement.
  3. Determine load, weight, and structural support for signage installations to satisfy safety criteria.
  4. Evaluate compliance with building codes and regulations in every design.
  5. Generate detailed engineering documentation, comprising exploded views and assembly drawings for manufacturers.
  6. Collaborate closely with manufacturers and engineering teams to provide production-ready designs with accurate measurements and specifications.
  7. Offer recommendations on materials and construction techniques grounded on structural analysis.

**Core Competencies:**

  1. Advanced Understanding of Signage Structures: Profound comprehension of signage architecture and structural components, particularly for monument signs.
  2. Technical Drawing Expertise: Capability to craft intricate technical drawings for signage, incorporating structural and engineering aspects.
  3. Manufacturing Readiness: Produce designs primed for manufacturing, ensuring adherence to client and production standards.
  4. Documentation Generation: Contribute to producing detailed engineering drawings, including load, weight, and support calculations, specifically for raceways and extensive signage deployments.
  5. Full-Cycle Design: Possess the capacity to design and construct signage from inception, ensuring structural integrity and conformity to industry standards.

**Essential Requirements:**

  1. Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
  2. A minimum of three years of experience in structural design and engineering.
  3. Preferred possession of an engineering or architectural license.
  4. Acquaintance with 3D modeling software: AutoCAD (or SketchUp and SolidWorks) for structural design and technical drawings.
  5. Possession of familiarity with Adobe Illustrator and other graphical tools for visual integration.
  6. Mastery of load computation, weight distribution, and material strength analysis for signage.
  7. Extensive understanding of signage structures, including foundations, load-carrying components, and raceways.
  8. Experience in developing exploded views, assembly guides, and fabrication documentation for manufacturers.
  9. Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities to interact with clients, manufacturers, and internal teams.
  10. Capacity to generate engineering drawings adhering to regional building codes and industry standards.
  11. Comprehensive grasp of materials, fabrication processes, and installation methodologies in signage.
