Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for managing various tasks and supporting the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Process financial statements for lodgement with the relevant tax authorities.
  • Prepare Business Activity Statements and Installment Activity Statements.
  • Maintain general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; prepare a trial balance; reconcile entries.
  • Prepare private tax returns, trust, partnership tax returns, and end-of-year compliance jobs.
  • Experienced in Division 7a loans.
  • Complete required tax reporting in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and update tax provision schedules.
  • Research and correct process errors that caused incorrect tax filings and negotiate with tax authorities over tax payment issues.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree in Accountancy or Accounting Technology (advantage if CPA licensed).
  • More than four years of accounting and tax experience, with at least four years in Australian tax accounting.
  • Leadership capabilities and interest in leading the team in the future.
  • Advantage if experienced in an accounting/audit firm.
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Attention to details and organized.
  • Good time management skills.
