System Software Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled System Software Engineer to collaborate with our distributed team. This individual will focus on delivering top-notch Golang runtime, developer experience, and supporting tooling in Ubuntu.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Select, integrate, and package the best-of-breed tooling with Ubuntu to enhance developer and operator experience with Go.
  • Develop high-quality code to create new features.
  • Troubleshoot issues and produce high-quality code to resolve them.
  • Review code produced by other engineers.
  • Contribute ideas and collaborate on finding effective solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Prior experience with Go, preferably in cloud-native software and Linux.
  • Experience in packaging software for Debian and Ubuntu.
  • Detailed understanding of Linux systems.
  • Exceptional academic record from both high school and university.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or a compelling narrative about your alternative chosen path.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
