DFI Team Brief

The DFSC Analyst Programmer is responsible for delivering quality software development and maintenance services in accordance with the Group's Software Development Life Cycle standard. The role performs medium complexity software development work under the direction of a Senior Analyst Programmer or a Senior Applications Architect.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining application software under the direction of a Senior Systems Analyst or Systems Analyst
  • Plans, Develop, test, maintain and debug programs in accordance with the Group's Software Development Life Cycle
  • Ensures that programs delivered operate according to functional and non-technical specification
  • Critically reviews programs prior SIT or UAT, to verify consistency and conformance with established coding standards
  • Ensures that programs have minimal defects and have gone through agreed Quality Assurance checks

  • Provide 3rd level production support to investigate and resolve issues meeting service level agreements as required by the business.
  • Document procedures on the usage of applications to enable application support and management of computer operations
  • Participate in regular and ad-hoc client management meetings. Keeps his/her supervisor and management appraised of the progress of assigned projects and status of any problems on a regular basis.
  • Conduct application performance tuning to ensure performance criteria for the system are met
  • Ensure that software documentation (as per SDLC) is kept up-to-date and released as planned.
Requirements
Education: Graduate of any IT related course.
Experience: Solid 2+ relevant working experience.

Role Specific Technical Competencies
  • Good analytical thinking and understanding of process streamlining.
  • Knowledgeable in Robotic Process Automation using UiPath or other RPA tools.
  • Knowledgeable in Systems Analysis and Design.
  • Open to learn more automation tools and build applications in the like of Power Platform and Google Cloud Platform
  • Knowledgeable to perform functional analysis and investigation apps developed.
  • Knowledgeable in database development using different database SQL tools (e.g., MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle).
  • Knowledgeable and understands computer concepts in Windows.
  • Knowledgeable and understands computer concepts in UNIX/LINUX.
  • Intermediate understanding on Client-Server Architecture.
  • Ability to perform code level investigation.
  • Able to adapt dynamic working schedule
  • Good to Have Programming Language: Java, .Net, C#, HTML
