Engineering Head

The Engineering Head leads the entire engineering department as they complete various design projects. He/she liaises with other engineers and technicians to ensure design plans are being executed on time, safely, and within budget. Will take a full management approach to the function as they oversee engineering projects from conceptualization to completion. He/she will report project management updates and issues to senior management and consult them for advice where necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the installation of new equipment and processes
  • Communicating the goals of the company to all engineers and professionals in the team
  • Analysing data and drafting reports for review
  • Performing maintenance and quality checks on products and systems
  • Maintaining and repairing all aspects of building operations
  • Determining the total cost and completion time for each project
  • Ensuring all personnel follow safety guidelines and procedures
  • Negotiating with clients and vendors
  • Staying up to date on the latest design concepts and trends
  • Breaking projects down into manageable developmental phases
  • Acquiring necessary products and materials for each project
  • Supervising projects from conception to completion

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Civil Engineer or any related engineering degree
  • 5-7 years experience as Engineering Head handling multiple projects
  • Experience in facilities management is an advantage
  • Strong in stakeholder management, project management, cost estimation, and people handling
  • Willing to travel across different provinces as part of monitoring of ongoing projects
