ABOUT THE ROLE

  • The Book keeper key role perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries and record payments and adjustments.
  • Directly reporting to the Accountant
  • The position is a full-time position and normal weekly schedule shall be from Mondays to Friday from 06:30AM to 03:00PM (Philippine Time) and 05:30AM to 02:00PM (Philippine Time) during Daylight Saving Time in the Commonwealth of Australia.
  • Willing to be assigned in Boni Mandaluyong

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Establish and Maintain Financial Records:

Establish and manage accounts to record all financial transactions.

Ensure compliance with legal requirements and regulations while posting transactions.

2. Develop Accounting Systems:

Create a comprehensive chart of accounts and define bookkeeping policies and procedures to streamline financial processes.

3. Subsidiary Account Management:

Verify, allocate, and accurately post transactions to maintain subsidiary accounts.

Reconcile subsidiary accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency.

4. General Ledger Maintenance:

Transfer subsidiary account summaries to maintain the general ledger.

Prepare trial balances and reconcile entries to ensure financial accuracy.

5. Record Keeping:

Maintain historical records by filing relevant financial documents for easy retrieval and reference.

6. Financial Reporting:

Collect, analyse, and summarize account information and trends to prepare financial reports.

7. Legal Compliance:

Stay up-to-date with state, and local legal requirements.

Enforce adherence to legal requirements, file necessary reports, and advise management on compliance.

8. Team Collaboration:

Contribute to the overall team effort by accomplishing related tasks and supporting team members as needed.

9. Other ad hoc duties.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations
  • Proficiency with accounting software and tools preferably with Deputy and H&L POS, Xero, Myob, Quickbooks
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently
