The Onboarding Specialist will be a key interface point throughout the whole life cycle of the new joiner, beginning with candidate care following offer acceptance, through to pre-joining to onboarding and finally the induction stage. The Onboarding Specialist will work closely with ERI stakeholders to ensure a consistent, comprehensive, and stream-lined experience for all new joiners.

The Onboarding Specialist ensures a strong positive relationship with the new joiner throughout all stages of the process ensuring the NEOM brand is represented with professionalism, sophistication, and passion.

Key Accountabilities & Activities

  • Act as the point of contact with the new joiner as soon as formal offer has been accepted.
  • Establish an initial relationship with new joiners allocated prior to arriving and throughout their journey, understanding their needs.
  • Work with all relevant wider NEOM departments to ensure all operational arrangements are in order, to create the best personalized onboarding experience possible.
  • Provide exceptional service that supports the integration of new joiners into NEOM by providing administrative assistance, resources, and knowledge, ensuring the best personalized experience.
  • Support with visa applications, as well as the general introduction to NEOM's culture and life. Overall, ensure new employees experience a smooth transition into life at NEOM.
  • Provide weekly updates to allocated Line Managers on stages of new joiners in the onboarding process.
  • Arrange bi-weekly meeting with new joiners to provide update on the onboarding process and provide necessary guidance.
  • Provide weekly updates to Academic HR Manager with progress of new joiner onboarding progress.
  • Develop and run onboarding induction program for the Sector.

Background, Skills & Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills to manage the end-to-end onboarding process and meet deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic with the abilities to use initiative, show care, empathy and follow through on tasks.
  • Strong analytical, planning and customer service skills.
  • Advanced computer skills and experience with specifically with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively both in groups as well as independently.
  • Strong customer service experience.
  • Experience in HR is essential.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business, or related field
  • 3+ years' experience in a service delivery environment
