Höegh Autoliners is a global player in Ro/Ro deep sea transportation services and operates the greenest fleet in this segment. The company owns and operates approx. 40 Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs) in global trade systems, making around 3 000 port calls yearly. Managed from a worldwide network of around 16 offices, our main customers are major manufacturers of new cars, heavy machinery and other rolling stock. We are working towards a goal of zero emissions by 2040 and have an exciting roadmap to achieve this.

Purpose: The Payroll Trainee has the responsibility under supervision to process the payroll for the assigned jurisdictions. The responsibility includes the processing of expense claim and reconciliation of accounts relevant to travel and payroll

Reporting to: Global Payroll and Administration Manager

Mandate:

  • Responsible under supervision for timely and accurate processing of payroll
  • Responsible under supervision for processing of expense claims
  • Responsible for monitoring and implementation of local regulations updates and governmental reporting for payroll purposes and compliance

Main responsibilities:

  • Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering data in payroll system
  • Check payroll forms and reports for accuracy
  • Process and control travel expense claims
  • Assist in government statutory reporting and final pay processing of separated employees.
  • Reconciliation of assigned balance accounts
  • Coordinate with stake holders related to payroll and expense process
  • Other administrative duties such as but not limited to meetings, audit, attend/resolve queries, issues or concerns, documentation and adhoc reports

Qualifications:

Education/experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or similar within the field of payroll
  • Payroll experience
  • Knowledgeable of international rules and regulations relevant for Payroll
