JOB OVERVIEW:

The position assumes the responsibility in all related works on project development and any authority delegated to him by the Head of Business Development. The position has the authority to Head of Business Development. implement the project development schedule and key strategies rendered by the Head of Business Development. Recommend any course of action that will optimize the current project development process or approach.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the overall management and development of a project.
  • Responsible for the Planning, Creation of Organization, Budgeting, Implementation of plans, Control and Monitor, Review and initiate Systems Improvement of a particular project. Responsible for the review and approval of the Design and Engineering plans and Drawings under the feasibility study/work.
  • Responsible for the proper implementation of the work under project development/feasibility. Lead and facilitate the conduct of pre-feasibility/feasibility studies for potential projects;
  • Responsible for the engaging and proper implementation of the Owner's Consultant Contract.
  • Responsible for the successful Quality Assurance of the project.
  • Oversee and ensure that project-related permits are secured and well-observed including permits on use of lands for project's temporary facilities and acquisition of areas as R-O-W for the project's permanent facilities.
  • Attend, as often as needed, meetings with the project stake holders, communities and potential off-takers. Ensure implementation and monitoring of action plans discussed during the meetings.
  • Prepare, review and submit Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly Project development Accomplishment Reports to the Top management.
  • Prepare presentation material, discuss project updates and accomplishments and propose relevant cost-effective solutions and mitigations to issues and challenges that may arise.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Ensure that tender documents are prepared ahead of time and participate in tender process i.e., design, submission and review.
  • Responsible for the acquisition and preservation of the Environmental Compliance Certificate.
  • Identify and manage relevant business/projects stakeholders and implement and maintain good relationship with the stakeholders of the project.
  • Oversee and Coordinate with different government and private agencies for the proper security protection of the project.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments/functional groups within the organization to ensure that all necessary resources are available to support the business development process;
  • Identify and manage business/project's associated risks. Prepare and implement risk management plan to minimize and mitigate project risks.
  • Overall management of Environmental Health and Safety Policy of the Company. Ensure that the health, safety and environmental requirements of the business/projects are complied with all the times.
  • Control and initiate measures for the optimum utilization of resources.
  • Manage and control the OKRs/KPIs of the Project Team to ensure that the project is implemented on time and within the budget.
  • Perform other tasks that may be assigned to him by the management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or BS Chemical Engineering or BS Civil Engineering or BS Electrical Engineering or BS Electronics and Communications Engineering

LICENSURE: Registered Engineer

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 to 7 years in project management, preferably solar and hydro projects, quality surveying and quality control, management of consultants and third-party service providers.
  • Extensive experience in energy yield assessment for solar
  • Familiar with financial modeling of a solar project
