JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for ensuring that quality education and training areprovided to the associate. The Account trainer must have excellentknowledge of the account and actively coordinates with themanagement team (Operations, Training, and Quality) for updates todeliver quality results to clients. Account trainer must be able to workwith the team and can perform tasks independently.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Review the errors in coding from the analysis report and research and or reference check the errors utilizing the medical records for diagnosis and procedures using ICD-10 and/or CPT coding conventions.
- Effectively conducts training needs assessment/ analysis regularly in coordination with operations.
- Develops and/or revises training curriculum and materials based on account requirements and integrates additional information based on error analysis in operations.
- Provides learning objectives and implements training effectively using different methods such as classroom training, and online training.
- Provide education on coding practice conventions and clinical documentation for code assignment.
- Provides education on US laws and regulations ensuring compliance in the industry.
- Monitors and evaluates the performance of trainees and manages the delivery of the training program. Ensure that performance of trainees is well-communicated to the trainees and provide feedback/coaching sessions, or recommendations necessary to help the trainees improve.
-Able to seek feedback based on the training experience by the associate.
- Provides support to operations for any education or training needed to meet the business requirements.
- Work with operations in scheduling meetings with the associate for educational sessions related to error analysis and any updates.
- Participates in meetings and training sessions with the management team (Training & Quality, Operation) and with the client that is relevant to training and quality initiatives and improvement.
- Adheres to the individual company's Compliance Guideline Policy and Procedure memos as distributed.
- Adheres to all HIPAA privacy and security policies and practices.
-Reports violations and incidents they observe and cooperate in investigations as requested by management.
- Other tasks/functions that may be assigned by the company as per business requirements (such as participating in doing the production and conducting quality audits during critical days or when no scheduled training session) may change from time to time to reflect the changing requirement of your position and our business.

Relevant Experience andQualifications

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:

  • One year of coding experience with certification in CCS, CCS-P, CCA,CPC, COC, CIC
  • Knowledge of medical terminologies, anatomy and pathophysiology
  • Must be able to maintain the strictest confidentiality
  • Has analytical, problem-solving/decision-making skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Detail-oriented and Microsoft Office proficient
  • Proficient typing skills
  • Good communication, organizational, interpersonal and presentationskills
  • Can work with minimal supervision
  • Exhibits being proactive and team player
  • Flexible to work in shifting & graveyard schedules
  • Good time management and prioritization skills
  • Must adapt well to changes.
