General Description

As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of complex technology solutions that align with business objectives and technical requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, project managers, developers, and system administrators, to create scalable, secure, and efficient architectural designs. The ideal candidate has a strong background in solution architecture, excellent leadership abilities, and a passion for technology innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Design end-to-end architectures that encompass hardware, software, networking, security, and integration aspects.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders involved in the project.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and understand functional and non-functional requirements. Conduct workshops, interviews, and meetings to clarify requirements and propose suitable architectural approaches.
  • Create and maintain architectural artifacts, including system diagrams, design documents, and technical specifications.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools relevant to the solution. Assess their suitability and impact on the project's objectives, technical requirements, and existing IT infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate effective communication, translating complex technical concepts into understandable terms.
  • Identify risks and dependencies associated with the solution architecture. Assess potential risks and propose mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards, industry regulations, and security protocols. Adhere to architectural governance processes, review boards, and change management procedures.
  • Design solutions that can scale efficiently to accommodate future growth and increased workloads. Optimize performance by identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks, implementing caching strategies, and recommending appropriate hardware configurations or cloud resources.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in solution architecture. Continuously improve knowledge and skills through self-learning, training, and participation in professional communities.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Proficiency in designing and documenting system architectures, including knowledge of architectural styles, patterns, and principles.
  • Familiarity with various programming languages, frameworks, and development methodologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft technologies such as SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, Azure.
  • Expertise in integrating systems using technologies such as APIs, web services (SOAP, REST), messaging systems (MQ, AMQP), and data integration (ETL, ESB).
  • Proficiency in database design, optimization, and management, knowledge of different database systems (relational and NoSQL), understanding of data modeling, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Understanding of network architecture, protocols, and security.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and practices.
  • Understanding of data analytics and business intelligence concepts.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation). Knowledge of configuration management and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet) to manage and provision infrastructure resources.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Solution Architect or similar role, designing and implementing complex technology solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of solution architecture principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Strong expertise in software development, system integration, and database design.
  • Proficiency in architectural modeling tools and techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Relevant certifications in solution architecture or related domains (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) is a plus.
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices is desirable.
