Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years experienced Employee specialized in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
General Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities on the following:
1. Proficiency in MS Excel, Planswift, CAD, and BIM
2. Proper sentence construction and English Grammar
3. Good Presentation Skills
4. Apt Knowledge in Building Codes
5. Well Knowledgeable in Building Methodologies
6. Awareness of new construction materials and methodologies
7. Good Time Management Skills.
Quantity Surveying Engineer is critical in ensuring the cost-effectiveness and financial success of real estate
projects. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, financial acumen, and effective communication
skills to excel in managing costs and budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Quantity Take-Off: preparing and identifying Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Bill of Materials (BOM), organizing Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), interpreting specifications, consolidating BOQ, developing Cost Codes, and preparing Key Performance Index (KPI) using manual and digital take-off methods.
- Costing: identifying direct and selling costs, defining man-hour cost and labor efficiency rates, deriving equipment rates, and preparing Unit Price Analysis (UPA) and schematic costing.
- Procurement: identifying types of bonds, insurances, and contracts, understanding bidding procedures and government permits, preparing cash flow/schedule, and procurement packages.
- Bidding Process: budget creation and monitoring, Bid Evaluation report, and coordination with PM/technical for Procurement schedule.
- Cost Studies: process performance ratios, historical data utilization, Value Engineering Exercise execution, identifying cost drivers, computing cost escalation, and collaborating with the design team/stakeholders during VE discussions.
